I initially purchased a rectangular cover but realized once I removed the old cover that the builder had installed a round electrical box and a standard cover would not work. This cover is square so you can install it vertically or horizontally and its large enough to cover a round electrical box. It's easy to install, the gasket is attached to the back so installation involves inserting one screw - you do need to physically hold the outlet lids open to insert the screw but its easy to do. I wish the lids would stay in the open position when using the outlet but it's a safety feature to ensure the outlet is not exposed to weather. It's metal so it looks nicer and seems sturdier than the plastic ones.
